I ran this morning for about 85 minutes in Como park. Water, trees, golf course, light rain. Perfect. It's put me in a Dylan mood. These are my words to live by today from the great song, "Spirit on the Water."
You think I'm over the hill
You think I'm past my prime
Let me see what you got
We can have a whoppin' good time
Great thing about Dylan. He gives you words to dwell in no matter what the day brings.
Which reminds me, I had a dog named Dylan. Great dog. He was stolen. Dang. I'll find other words for that tomorrow.

The latest Dylan album really is a nice surprise. I made sure that song was in the play list during my wedding reception last year. I'm finally out of the Chinese food business and am in Denver working as a petroleum landman while my wife goes to law school here. Quite a transition (figuring out how to play-act the conservative republican part while attempting to maintain my liberal arts education roots), but it pays the student loans, etc. I guess my shirtless profile pic is a manifestation of that conflict. Walking on a beach ain't so bad either though.

I'd keep the Dylan thing quiet in the petroleum club.
I've driven through Denver a few times, but never stopped. Would love to see a baseball game there. Coors looks great.
And, yes, the beach shot came from a short course I taught at Pepperdine a few weeks ago.
A fellow blogger and friend of mine named his son Dylan. He loves the music too, obviously!
